I'm trying to brush up on my programming and trying to learn assembly so that I can try to at least start a project for that, but so far, I don't think I'm good enough.įor the time being, however, I would greatly enjoy a theme of Mac Classic, so I can at least pretend to use Mac OS Classic. I really wish someone would come out with an open source version of Mac OS 9, like how Linux is a replacement for UNIX.

I DID find that there are open source projects in progress that are intended to replace the proprietary adobe flash. The highest flash that works on it is version 7. Unfortunately, flash isn't supported on it anymore. Obviously, if I need to do heavy cpu-intensive processes, I would have to use my dual core intel pc, but for common things like checking email, browsing the web, etc., I would love to use my Mac OS 9.2.2 on my Quicksilver. In fact, this was the whole reason I got my Quicksilver back out and installed Mac OS 9.2.2 on it. I salute you for making this topic! I LOVE the appearance and look and feel of Mac OS Classic.
